There are many things that get me enthusiastic, spark my curiosity, I'm passionate about and straight-up captivate me, ranging from domains of intellectual interest, philosophical, spiritual or plain entertainment, amusement or simply those that bring joie de vivre, through details or characteristics that are hard to quantify or pinpoint.
I hope to be able to study, read, learn and write as much as possible about such things, but until then, I list some of them which fit, generally, in my non-academic interests.
Literature is a very important component of my development and, generally, I try to prioritize classical writers. A part of my readings can be found by following me on GoodReads.
I like to parttake to diverse discussions, argumentative, informative or just for fun. That's why you can also find me on reddit.
I'm very passionate about fountain pens, ink and handwriting. Not so much for collecting them, but using them for notes, texts, drafts. I think that through handwriting we keep a connection that is fundamentally important with our human side, we bond with the symbols and words that we give birth through our fingers, on paper, a link as none other. That is why, although most of the times I (also) write my notes digitally, I start by handwriting them on paper.
I strongly believe that everybody should have easy access to reading, documentation and study. That is why I support projects such as Open Science and open source tools (I use daily Emacs, LaTeX, as well as educational software such as SageMath).
I am a bit of an amateur photographer. Although I sometimes exaggerate with postprocessing, I generally like simple and black and white photos. A good part of my photos can be found on my 500px page.
